Conflicts are the biggest threat to effective collaboration, yet they are a natural part of business life. It’s important that teams understand conflicts and are able to resolve them.
This course aims at enabling people to overcome the negative impacts of conflict and leverage on the positive outcomes.
Upon course completion, participants will be able to:
Describe typical behaviors that are used when conflict is not constructively managed.
Improve awareness of their emotional reaction to other people’s behavior
Identify various approaches that can be used to manage conflict for a positive outcome.
Identify when it is appropriate to use the various approaches to resolving conflict.
Prepare for and conduct conversations they find difficult.
Training will include various sessions on theoretical knowledge of interpersonal communications, its application in social and organizational settings, in combination with personal and group-based activities.
Participants learn by participating in various exercises, role plays and demonstrations designed to help them identify their communication cues. Finally, they will apply techniques learnt to multiple interpersonal scenarios.
