SCB Mission Possible 2026: Now is Our Time (Team Building)
While June 30th, 2026, was officially observed as the Mid-Year Bank Holiday across Brunei, the entire workforce of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Brunei chose to mark the milestone by investing in their greatest asset: their people. Gathering on a bright morning at Dewan Indah Biru, Lugu, the SCB team traded their usual office routines for a high-energy, transformative team-building experience: SCB Mission Possible 2026.
Facilitated by Epipeople Management & Consultancy Sdn Bhd, the milestone program was built entirely around the forward-looking theme, "Now is Our Time." Moving far beyond a standard corporate day out, the morning was strategically designed to activate speed, collaboration, and decisive action across the bank’s entire ecosystem.
Mapping Core Values to Action
At the heart of the event were a series of custom-engineered challenges that blended light physical movement, creative problem-solving, and intellectual strategy. Each activity was mapped to SCB’s core corporate values. To succeed in these missions, teams had to actively live those values in real-time—demonstrating open communication, rapid delegation, and collective accountability under pressure.
Breaking Silos and Building "One SCB"
The true magic of the morning lay in its pan-bank engagement. In the fast-paced environment of daily banking operations, it is easy for departments to become siloed. The program intentionally paired staff members who rarely intersect in their day-to-day roles, giving them a refreshing space to network, laugh, and discover hidden strengths in one another.
Participants frequently shared how rewarding it was to collaborate with unfamiliar faces, working side-by-side to crack codes or complete physical trials. This collective effort highlighted a core takeaway of the day: that cross-departmental synergy is essential for overall corporate success, and that every single employee plays a vital role in the bank’s vision.
Realignment for the Future
The energy at Dewan Indah Biru was palpable as the challenge culminated in a high-stakes finale. Echoing the bank's cultural focus on inclusivity and shared triumph, the final missions emphasized "leaving no one behind," proving that corporate success is intrinsically linked to a shared, unified vision.
By the end of the morning, SCB Mission Possible 2026 had achieved exactly what it set out to do. It sent the SCB Brunei workforce into the second half of the year feeling deeply connected, highly energized, and completely realigned under a powerful, unified "One SCB" spirit.
